Big Win and The Fight is Not Over For Hemp Legislation

The 2018 Farm Bill includes language that officially removes hemp as a schedule 1 drug.

Late yesterday, Senator Grassley (R-IA) submitted an amendment that specifically excludes cannabinoids,” “extracts” and “derivatives.” This would be a huge blow to the CBD industry and people who depend on CBD.

This morning the Senate Agriculture Committee passed the Farm Bill without a vote for the Grassley Amendment.

BUT THE FIGHT IS NOT OVER. Senator Grassley is reportedly not backing down and working with other Senators to get his language inserted into the Farm Bill.
