Delta-9 refers to a cannabinoid molecule called delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, also known as Delta-9 THC or just THC. THC is one of the 500 molecules (substances and different cannabinoids) present within the cannabis plant. Marijuana and hemp are both part of the cannabis family, and Delta-9 THC can be derived from either one.
